Managing Partner

Joel H. Head is Managing Partner of Headwinds Ltd. which he launched in 2002 after many years consulting within and for professional service firms. He was formerly a Partner with Ernst & Young LLP and a Principal with Mercer HR. Headwinds Ltd. works with clients who are struggling to enhance the performance of individuals and teams and who desire to measurably improve both performance and profitability.

Mr. Head serves as an examiner with the State of Ohio Partners for Excellence program, which utilizes Baldridge criteria to measure operating effectiveness in participating companies. He is also a Trustee with the Cuyahoga Valley Chamber of Commerce.

He is a frequent guest speaker and lecturer and has written several articles for professional journals. A chapter written by Joel describing human resource strategies for staff redeployment was published in the book, Human Resource Strategies for Organizations in Transition. He contributed a chapter on employee relations and change management strategies to support process improvement in the book, Bottom Line Results from Strategic Human Resource Planning.
